Tiny, Perfect Things

Tiny, Perfect Things is a beautiful picture book that takes readers along on a walk shared between a grandfather and his granddaughter. As they walk, together they look for small things that make the world beautiful, like yellow leaves, spider webs, and moonlight. They explore the beauty of nature and the world around them.
The book is easy to follow, and even easier to look at. The illustrations are vibrant and stunning, complimenting the simple rhyming lines of the book itself. The illustrated characters are diverse, emphasizing the roles everyone plays in the world. It reminds us to take the time to look for these tiny, perfect things that make life better. At the back, the book also includes a page where you and your child can search for your own favorite things together.
A, aged 8, loved looking at the illustrations and how pretty they all were. She loved how it was all about nature, making her want to go on a walk too! I would recommend this book to any age, but especially 6-8 year old children who love playing outside. But really, anyone can appreciate this incredibly beautiful book.
A great activity after reading this book would be to spend some time outside with your child and find a collection of your own tiny, perfect things, either by collecting them, taking pictures, or making drawings of your favorites!
Until next time,
Maddie
